SMR-NT’s vision is to provide specialist advice on the opportunity for procuring and developing safe nuclear power generation technologies, particularly Small Modular Reactors (SMRs).

SMR-NT’s mission is:

• to assist in bringing intrinsically-safe nuclear power generation technology to new communities

• to assist in providing industrial and domestic consumers with affordable and secure low-emission base-load electric power

• to reduce greenhouse gas emissions

• to support the introduction by governments of best practice legal and regulatory regimes to govern the safe development and operation of nuclear power generation, with the guidance of the International Atomic Energy Agency

• to obtain all governmental approvals for the development of nuclear power generation facilities at suitable sites.
